Rose Petal Wine
Submitted by admin on Thu, 07/17/2008 - 01:08
Many gardeners have masses of rose petals which would, ordinarily, go to the compost heap. Why not put them to good use and make a sample of this unusual wine.
1 lb - Rose Petals
(The stronger scented the better)
2½lb - Sugar
½ Pint Grape Concetrate
1 Gallon Water
Yeast, Nutrient & Citric Acid
Bring the water to the boil and add the sugar, rose petals, citric acid and the small amount of grape concentrate.
Stir well, and when it has cooled to around 21°C add the yeast and nutrient.
